Avoiding Plagiarism
Plagiarism is when you use someone else’s thoughts or ideas without giving them proper acknowledgement or reference.
It is considered plagiarism when an individual:
- submits an assignment as their own that another person has completed
- shares quiz/test questions or answers or written assignments with another student
- uses information, text, artwork, graphics or other material from any print or electronic source, and presents it as their own
- quotes or uses material from a source without acknowledgement
- cuts and pastes information from a source without referencing it
- resubmits their own work without editing or changing it
