Smarthinking
Smarthinking is an assignment feedback service that is available for many units taught at ACAP. The Smarthinking online writing centre allows you to upload your draft assignment, the assignment criteria/question, and select up to two areas you want feedback on. You will receive detailed, personalised feedback on your assignment from a professional online tutor within 48 hours. Students with access to the service can submit a maximum of 3-4 papers per trimester in total.
Please note that Smarthinking tutors do not edit or correct your work; instead they aim to assist you to improve your academic writing skills. In addition, Smarthinking tutors are experts in broad disciplines, but not in specific units offered at ACAP, so this service does not replace the marking or feedback provided by your educator. Please note that Student Learning Support Advisors in your state can also provide you with feedback on your draft assignments.
How to access Smarthinking
Smarthinking is available from within the online class space for selected Units (see below for a list of eligible units).
- Log in to the Student Portal and go to your Unit’s online class space.
- Open the 'Assessment' tab.
- To access Smarthinking, click on the “Smarthinking” (green jigsaw piece) link.
- You will then be taken directly to the Smarthinking website.
